In childhood, Anastasia Grebenkina from early childhood taught Nastya to a strict daily routine, which allowed the girl to easily adapt to a hard sports graphics.

After studying, Tatyana Ivanovna took her to a skating rink, where Nastya found time and to complete her homework. Tatyana Ivanovna noted that Nastya grew up an amazingly light child, always smiling and obedient, but capable of perseverance when something went wrong. The ability to endure the loads during many hours of training helped Nastya to achieve the first significant successes in sports, to win prizes in local and then international competitions.

However, not only sport filled Nastya's childhood. Her grandfather, a passionate lover of books, instilled in her love of reading. In addition, Tatyana Ivanovna often took her daughter with her for filming, thanks to which Nastya got acquainted with the Soviet cultural elite since childhood, including Samuel Marshak, Yuozas Budraitis and Lyudmila Gurchenko. With the age of eleven years of age, Nastya Grebenkina faced a real sports excitement and the spirit of the competition, starting to perform in the international arena and participate in foreign training camps.

At twelve years, she finally decided on discipline in figure skating, choosing dancing on the ice. Its coach was Natalya Dubovova, who proposed and eventually organized the move of a young athlete in the USA. At the age of thirteen, Nastya, along with the coach, went to training for the ocean. The beginning of the training was successful, but the lack of relatives and friends, the differences in mentality and misunderstanding with the coach led to the fact that life was difficult from home, and soon it returned to Moscow.

However, a break on foreign trips was short -lived. Soon was the proposal to move to Latvia, which Nastya accepted with enthusiasm: the flight from Moscow to Riga took only an hour and a half. In Latvia, Grebenkina found a great partner, and together they successfully played for the national team at international competitions for a year and a half. In the year, after the partner left for coaching, Nastya returned to Moscow.

Her new partner was the eighteen -year -old Vazgen Azroyan. Under the leadership of the coach Svetlana Alekseeva, the couple debuted with the fourth place at the Russian Championship.
