On the chain and now the dream of the "sideboard" came true. It remained to blame several important parts with a lathe.
But Alexei also outplayed the system: in the series of all -terrain vehicles “Dif”, he made a transmission without complex hub nodes. The drive with a chain to the asterisk walked directly to the hub - minus the shaft, slots and everything else. The designer admits that the solution was controversial: the chain in this case was constantly in mud. But the all -terrain vehicle itself turned out to be light and inexpensive, and the replacement of Soviet industrial chains was not difficult.
But they are very complicated: without owning the necessary technologies, it is better not to swing their manufacture. I came up with my own option, and he worked normally. And then he made a differential turning mechanism, because it is simpler and cheaper, ”explains Alexei. The all -terrain vehicle "Dif" combined the on -board scheme and simplicity of the design.
Then the development of tires began - they managed to launch into production not on the first attempt. I insisted - and, as it turned out, I was right. Now, wherever you look, everything is striving for such a drawing, ”Garahashyan states. The floating all -terrain vehicle was conceived by a simple, inexpensive, with a steel body. From the CP with a short chain gear, the torque was transmitted to the rotation mechanism from the Soviet caterpillar conveyor GAZ - more precisely, only to part of this mechanism, shaft and frictions; The case and the conical corner gear were not involved. The technique created with an emphasis on professional use was initially heavier than basic models, but at the same time turned out to be more resilient and much more lifting - 3.5 tons instead of 1 t. Garahashyan in the future, the “head” of the wheel machine became the basis for the new four -wheeled all -terrain vehicle “Arkhant N”, developed by the experimental team of engineers without the participation of Alexei.
The design of all -terrain vehicles produced at that time by the famous Obukhov plant required changes, which means modernization of both production itself and the model range. In the Sherp pro model, they put a hot galvanizing steel and an aluminum body instead of steel. The Max model made a more spacious body extended to 20 cm, the curved panels of which carried, among other things, the power load - in addition to the integrated safety frame.
More reliable foreign gearboxes began to be used. In the year, the plant put into operation new production capacities, now up to 50 all -terrain vehicles per year are produced here. The components are almost completely Russian, with the exception of engine and tires. By the way, the new supplier of special tires with a diameter of 1.8 m was found in Belarus. The increased size of the cab and wheels is combined in the Arkhant with a strong safety frame.
At the same time, the car is “in the dimensions”: its width is mm with a length of less than 4 m. It’s easy to steer by an all -terrain vehicle: there are only two levers two pedals. The hydraulic system is responsible for the ease of control. The on-board drive is still chain, but the chains are now located in closed oil baths, which significantly increases their service life.

Through serious water barriers, caterpillar vehicles are all the more not able to cross, but for the structures of Garahashyan with a hermetic body boat and large displacing wheels this is not a problem. Travels for Garahashyan are a way of life. For this, he actually creates his all -terrain vehicles. Garahashyana “Arkhang N” is also available in the “Arctic” modification: a thermally insulated cabin, heated bedrooms, duplicated autonomous heater and many technical improvements that provide comfortable and safe work in the Arctic.
Today, machines created by the St. Petersburg engineer are successfully operated on oil and gas, exploration and mining enterprises, when servicing electric networks, and search work.
