German Matveev biography

Born in the city of Kiesel in the Urals. He lived in Leningrad since the year. He worked in the agitheater, at the film factory. Then, up to a year, on the film factory in Yalta. According to his own scenarios, he set up two films: the drama "The accident", Lensoyutkino and the comedy "Relay". In the year, German Matveev declared himself as a playwright for adults, and then for children, his plays for children - “Puzan”, “Magic Half”, “Jump and Skok”, “Potapych” - were very popular and put up to many puppet theaters.

Only in the puppet theater S. Obraztsov, the play “Puzan” passed once, and “Magic Half” - once. Their success was provided by a combination of a rather simple “puppet” plot with numerous funny moments and tricks. As a prose writer for children, German Matveev began to be published from a year, when his story about the Soviet border guards “One Night” was published. The action of this small story, as the name is clear, unfolds within one night.

The plot is quite simple: the saboteur was detained, who managed to cross the Soviet border through the swamps considered impassable. Under him, a suitcase was found with a new, unknown poisonous substance. During interrogation at the outpost, during which it becomes clear that soon a few more enemy scouts plan to cross the border, the detainee makes an escape, injuring several people.

This is the choice of profession, the search for your place of life. Indeed, thanks to the incident with the violators of the border, the Solder Soldiers who served at this outpost and had to demobilize, decide to stay and tie their future life with the border troops. In the year, German Matveev’s adventure story “Green Chains” was published about Leningrad teenagers who, during the blockade, helped employees of the State Security Committee to neutralize a group of rackets, special signals indicated important objects of the city to fascist pilots.

Three years later, a continuation appeared - the story “The Secret Fight”, where the same boys again participate in the neutralization of saboteurs who prepare the explosions of ammonia storage in Leningrad. The story "Tarantula" is the final, third book. In it, the main character, Misha Alekseev, is already participating in a serious counterintelligence operation.

According to this story, the entire trilogy was subsequently named. In the year, based on these works, the Green Chains movie “Lenfilm Studio”, director G. Aronov, the author of the script of F., was shot, a continuation of this film - the television film “Tarantula” appeared in the year. In addition, German Matveev wrote two stories about the guys who found their calling in agriculture and in practice proved to adults their storage and willingness to do their loved ones - about Michin residents, young followers of the methods of breeding and conducting agriculture, founded by Soviet biologist Ivan Vladimirovich Michurin - about young gardeners who were engaged in the cultivation of fruit Trees even on the Soviet land occupied by the Nazis, the story “New Variety” is noteworthy in the story the meeting of the protagonist, boy Vanya Morozov, who ended up in the blockade Leningrad, with a real person, the legend of the Leningrad Botanical Garden, and the presenter scientist Nikolai Ivanovich Kurnakov.

He and other gardeners transferred the plants to their home, heated with the warm “bourgeois”, healed frostbitten places. These plants are still alive and are the pride of the Botanical Garden of St. Petersburg. In the novel “First Spring”, collective farm junks take up important and responsible for the post -war period, when it was necessary to quickly restore agriculture, the task is the accelerated reproduction of new, resistant potatoes to diseases.

Personality and work bring a logical result: the children manage to get from each potato taken in the All -Union Institute of Planting in Leningrad, a record amount of seed material, in which adult collective farmers did not even believe. Herman Matveev’s story “Seventeen -Street”, written as a result of a long -term and deep study of school life, gained wide fame. The book is also interesting these days, because its heroines are tenth graders, who have a different life in the family, in their own way manifests itself in their own way.

The story describes the difficult relationships of schoolgirls with adults and peers, with their class teacher, teacher of literature, tells about the formation of personality, about choosing a life path after graduation, about first love. In the year, Matveev wrote the adventure story “After the Bury”, in which teenagers from mining families help the Bolsheviks forward an underground printing house hidden after the revolutionary events of the year in an abandoned mine.

The story takes place at the end of the year in the hometown of writer Kiesel, which was reflected in remarkable sketches of the Ural nature and city environs. The theme of the education of the young generation is also devoted to the last work of the writer - the story “New Director”, which is, as it were, a continuation of the story “Seventeen -year -olds”, because it acts in it the same main character - a literature teacher.

More than half a century has passed since the writing of the books of G. The life of our country has changed greatly since then, but how else can we recognize and understand our history, as not from the books of that time. The opportunity to see the eyes besieged by the Nazis by the eyes of a person who survived the blockade to experience pride in the unprecedented feat of Leningraders who defended their city - this is the main value of the Tarantula trilogy, reprinted today in the publishing house "Children's Literature".
