Mikhail Chisinau biography
Mikhail Tserush about the artist Petersburg artist Mikhail Tserush belongs to the group of the main ideological followers and continuers of the Russian avant -garde tradition - students of the Sterligov school, or Sterligians. In the years, the St. Petersburg workshop of Vladimir Vasilievich Sterligov, a student of Casimir Malevich, was not so much an artistic studio as the place of formation of a special unofficial group, a unique philosophical artistic circle.
Continuing with its art, the line coming from the founders of Suprematism itself, Sterligovets Mikhail Tserush appears as the “artistic descendant” of the Russian avant -garde. Mikhail was born in Moldova in the year in the village of Sinezht. In the year, he graduated from the children's art school. Schusev in Chisinau, in M - Chisinau Republican Art College.
Even in Chisinau, Tserush realized that he was interested in a different way of developing art than following socialist realistic attitudes. A great impression on him was made in the year with the People's Artist of the Moldavian Republic Mikhail Greek - - a unique independent painter who came to the Soviet Union from the pre -war Bucharest and managed to preserve the assimilated plastic language of the European avant -garde.
In the beginning of the 10ths, Mikhail Tserush entered the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I. Repin now the Academy of Arts and began to rent a room on the Griboedov channel along with another artist - Alexander Kozhin, in order to calmly engage in painting far from the ideological control of the Academy. It was thanks to Kozhin that Mikhail first hit the workshop of Vladimir Vasilievich Sterligov - on Lenin Street, where one of the group "apartment exhibitions" was then held.
At that time, Vladimir Vasilievich did not take students to himself so often, and the Union of Artists was not recommended, but Mikhail was lucky to be among the elect. First, Sterligov invited Mikhail to copy the work of Picasso “Factory in Horte Ebro”, which he did very successfully. In the Studio of Sterligov, unofficial classes were carried out, during which artists mastered plastic techniques and the color system of impressionists, studied the principles of geometrization of the forms of Cezanne and Cubists, the basics of subscription painting and the Sterlig-dostea system.
Mikhail remembered a long study of “surrounding geometry” - exercises when artists were invited to build a composition not from the center to the periphery, but vice versa. During classes or joint trips to Peterhof to Studies, Vladimir Vasilievich was especially important for Mikhail, acquaintance with the color system of Matyushin. Filonova, the spouses of Sterligov, after which all artists were offered to write new works, recreating the color scheme of the famous theorist of the Russian avant -garde from memory.
In the last courses, Tserush has already received a separate workshop from the Academy. I had to hide the works created in the Sterligov workshop, under the bed and every time the professors looked, they were afraid that everything would be discovered. In the year, when Mikhail studied at the Academy on a diploma course, a legendary exhibition of unofficial artists in the DC Gaza took place, but Mikhail, afraid of exceptions, did not take part in it.
Mikhail describes his studies at the Academy as a thorough braking of creativity. The creation of the thesis was difficult - so much so that the artist still sometimes dreams that he cannot finish it. As a result, Tserush went to his homeland in Moldova, where in the workshop of the Mod studio he wrote many sketches for the thesis of the “seamstress”. By shifting accents from colorful Moldovans to the game of light penetrating from the window, the artist was able to apply all his avant -garde skills.
In the year, Mikhail was in the army, but was able to take part in the second exhibition of non -conformists in the Nevsky recreation center. The police at the entrance to the hall did not immediately recognize in a young man in an army uniform a participant in an exhibition of independent art. Then Tserush compiled himself at all, returning to the vernissage without form, which was recognized as a disciplinary violation.
From the year, together with other Sterligians, Mikhail Tserush took part in exhibitions in the workshop of Tatyana Glebova. Then the first collectors of his work appeared, mainly foreign diplomatic workers. For a year, he participated in exhibitions of non -conformist art organized by the TEIA Partnership of experimental art. In the year, the artist received a grant of the Soros Foundation and created the exhibition project “Elepe of Time in the Picture”, shown in the Chisinau National Art Museum of the Republic of Moldova.
Among the most important implemented projects of Mikhail Tserusha: “Coding-Snow”, “From the subject to infinity”, together with L. Astrain and D. Verdian, “Picturesque Assembly”, “Signs Resource”, “Compact Painting”. Through the philosophical and visual cup-doll system of Sterligov, Mikhail Tserush came to his own artistic analysis. He is fascinated by the construction of the dynamics of the form developing in time.He uses musical and color symbolism, which gives him a special sonority.
